What is a Cosmic Dancer?
We are a collective of artists & performers offering Aerial, Yoga, Ecstatic Dance, Meditation and more at Burning Man and local events in Colorado.
Founders
Malia has been hosting community events since her first Burning Man in 2011. Her love for music & art led her to begin DJing 10 years ago. She began Aerial in 2019 focussing on Silks and adding Lyra more recently. She is a mother of 2 young men alongside owning 2 small businesses in Denver, CO as a Property Manager & Event Producer. She is an active Aerialist, DJ, Yoga teacher and community leader with a passion for bringing people together and building a stage for herself and others to perform!

Hadassah has been an aerialist for 11 years and has been dancing her whole life. She is currently a part of two aerial collectives in Denver, CO named Gravity Aerial Arts and DeJaView Productions. The idea of bringing her aerial tribe to burning man started with another former camp organizer, Malia. Between the two of them and several other female performers, they created Cosmic Dancer. The formation of this production will carry on for years to come after Burning Man 2023. “It was always my dream to expand my creative talents more and expand further out than Colorado.” She believes performance is an art form that we all have capability of doing. Hadassah finds more ways to creatively perform in her community, bringing lots of love and multiple talents.

Mandi had been an aerialist for 10 years. Her stage name is Shadowkiti. She started with fabric and now does Lyra hoop, pole, straps, sling, loops, rope, and trapeze. Mandi also teaches aerial at gravity aerial arts in Denver, CO. She loves to teach others and perform. Mandi owns her massage business at Mandatory Massage LLC as a medical massage therapist practicing for the last 23 years. Her vision is to teach others aerial and share the enjoyment she has found while building a strong Community.
